Thank You for your interest in my products. I wanted to share a little about myself.
My name is Laura Lee. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Growing up the only girl of 5 children, I became a tom boy, but with the gift of crafts. My mother recognized my desire to make things and always created ways for me to try new crafts. As a young girl, if I wasn't playing outside or riding horse, she would have me take classes at the local Craft and Ceramic Shops. I was constantly making or drawing something new. In Jr. High school we were required to take sewing. It is there that I first discovered the love for the sewing machine. My first two projects were a wrap- around skirt, and a pleated sundress. Later in high school, I took more home economics classes.
It wasn't until many years later, and being married, that I got my first sewing machine. My mother and father in law saw my love for craft as well. They surprised me at my door with my first Singer sewing machine. I was in my glory.
Since then, my husband and I have raise two children who have reaped the benefits of my love for sewing. Now grown and on their own, they sometimes still ask for help with a project, and I am so thankful to be able to help them in that way.
So as our children grew and became the independent people we raised them to be, it left me with a lot more time to fill with something else. I began sewing handbags, quilts; doll clothing and whatever I felt would be appreciated as gifts. Many of the receivers of those gifts started asking me to make something for someone they knew. So here I am today, doing what I love to do. I don't mass produce, so what you see is one of a kind, made with much thought and pride, and made solely by myself.
Thank You again for your interest in my products.
